Who is behind Agency Sales Playbook?

Tim Kilroy provides growth consulting and coaching for agency owners. He has been a marketing and agency leader since 1997, has launched three agencies (two exits and one crash), and reports more than 300 agencies coached. He mainly works with established marketing, creative, development, PR and content agencies between $1M and $20M in annual revenue.

His approach emphasizes diagnosing each agency's specific needs rather than applying generic templates. In his words, agency owners should be ready to change their positioning and how they sell first, starting with a clear niche and a real sales process.

Why this site

Why this site exists

Most agency founders are the best, and often only, salesperson in the business. Agency Sales Playbook focuses on one problem: building a repeatable agency sales process so good-fit deals close whether or not the founder is on the call. The deeper material, including the full playbooks and blog, lives on timkilroy.com.

Is this an independent site?

No. Agency Sales Playbook is published by Tim Kilroy and describes his own services and approach. Where it compares options or quotes statistics, it says how they were chosen. See how this playbook is written.

What is SalesOS?

SalesOS is Tim Kilroy’s done-with-you engagement for installing a custom agency sales process. It is aimed at agencies roughly between $1M and $5M a year where sales still depend on the founder. It starts with positioning, then builds a sales engine around that specific agency. The published playbook is the artifact; SalesOS is where it gets installed.

What's the difference between Agency Studio and SalesOS?

Agency Studio is a group coaching program for founders under about $50K a month, with weekly calls where founders bring whatever is on fire. SalesOS is a custom, done-with-you build for agencies past about $1M a year. Studio gives structure and straight answers; SalesOS diagnoses one agency in depth and installs a sales process built around it.

What should agency owners be ready to change first?

Their positioning and how they sell. In practice that means committing to a clear niche and replacing founder instinct with a real, written sales process. Tim Kilroy treats these as the first changes because a sales process has nothing to run on if the agency cannot say clearly who it serves and what problem it solves.

How much does agency sales coaching cost?

Published prices on timkilroy.com, as of November 2026: Agency Studio is $399 per month and Agency Studio+ is $999 per month, which adds a custom plan and a monthly 1:1 with Tim. SalesOS, the custom sales system build for agencies past about $1M a year, is scoped individually after a diagnostic conversation, so no fixed price is published.
